About Me...

I am a freelance Event Production Manager, producing Live Event Projects and overseeing the Site Management of outdoor locations and unconventional spaces. Working in the diverse realms of live events, music festivals and site-specific theatre, I lead on the overall planning, design, implementation, operation and dissolution of creative experiences. This includes budget holding, supply chain management, venue and technology overlay, collaboration with partners and stakeholders, recruitment and leadership of staff.

I believe in clear communication, attention to detail and robust organisational skills. I support and facilitate creative thinking with innovative solutions to production challenges. I am a strong, confident communicator and enjoy working with new teams from volunteers and site crews to artists, contractors, sponsors and the odd animal! I thrive on the often bizarre situations of piecing together the puzzle, whilst remaining calm, focused and always with a smile!

Covid-Secure Workplaces, Crowd Dynamics, First Aid, IOSH Certificate for Managing Safety, Safety Passport and Risk Assessment are just some of the courses I have completed.

I am never more at home than in a green (or muddy) field, a derelict warehouse or just out in the streets building a world ready for people’s enjoyment!

LAUREN DETTMAR

Lauren has worked in the events industry for 15 years across a number of large-scale outdoor events. Qualified in health and safety, she manages logistics, site management, event operations and event control. Specialising in production, she spent 4 years managing events within Local Authorities, including coordinating the Lambeth Country Show, before moving to the RHS to implement all logistical and operational elements for The Chelsea Flower show, Hampton Court Palace and Chatsworth Flower Shows. Now a freelancer, work includes Hyde Park’s Winter Wonderland, Frieze Art Fair and a number of UK music festivals.
